Dangerous Doctrine Shifts in the Church


Here are some of the issues that today are eating away at the church – watering down the very faith on which the church is built. You can do something about these in your church:


    1. The spread of liberal theology and a silence on, and denial of, the infallibility and inerrancy of the Bible.     (2 Pet 1:21; 2 Tim 3:16; Rev 22:18-19)   (Click here for the 'Chicago Statement', the most important creed of Biblical inspiration.)


    2. The presence of divorce and re-marriage in our churches. Whilst Christians should be very loving and sensitive in dealing with this, they should also be no less firm and uncomprimising than our Lord was.     (Mal 2:16; Mat 19:9; Mark 10:11-12)


    3. A silence on, and denial of, the fact that homosexualism, in practice and in thought, is a sin before God. Whilst Christians should be very loving and sensitive in dealing with this, they should also be no less firm and uncomprimising than our Lord was.     (Rom 1:25-27; 1 Cor 6:9; 1 Tim 1:10)


    4. The spread of feminism through our churches, destroying families, people and churches through silence on, and denial of, the God-given, liberating differentiation in function and authority between the sexes of man and woman, with its reflection of the very nature of God.     Fighting to keep these out of your church might take more commitment than just signing a petition, but it will mean infinitely more.
